Since 1992, Audrey and her staff have been traveling abroad to recruit caregivers for our Canadian families. Since 1997, Hong Kong has been our primary source of excellent nannies with superb training and experience. Audrey and her staff travel to Hong Kong every eight weeks to consult with candidates in person. Diamond Personnel is Hong Kong's ONLY licensed Canadian agency! Our staff in Hong Kong is available to assist you through the entire process.
Since 2008 we have partnered with Best Thai Nannies to source skilled and experienced caregivers from Thailand. Please register on our website under the caregiver application. Tanya Thonkin, our Thai expert is available to assist you personally throughout the application process.
When you apply to our overseas offices, we will ask you to fill out an application telling us about yourself. We want to know about your experience, your training and your skills. You will be interviewed personally by one of our consultants, either face to face or by web cam. If we determine that you are a suitable candidate for overseas placement, we will work quickly and efficiently to find you a Canadian family that is looking for the skills and personality that you offer! Once we are able to match you with an employer in Canada, you will be assisted every step of the way by our support staff locally and in Canada.
When you become a Diamond caregiver, you get exclusive access to the Diamond Package and our Job Skills Advantage™. You will be enrolled in CPR and First Aid training. Our licensed immigration consultant provides consultation on all documents submitted to the Canadian Embassy from the application for your work permit, to your permanent residency kit. No other agency offers you the training, support and consultation that we do. The services offered in the Diamond Package will greatly enhance your profile and will give you the professional skills and confidence to improve your success! The skills you learn through our program will not only serve to help you secure employment as a caregiver, but you will take these valuable lessons with you throughout your life.
Before entering Canada, you must undergo a complete medical screening and police clearance in order to obtain a work visa. Once you have been approved by the Canadian Embassy abroad, you will be issued a visa to travel to Canada. Your work permit will be issued upon entry to Canada. Your new employer will meet you at the airport upon your arrival.
Through The Job Skills Advantage Program you will be well prepared for your journey to your new life in Canada. We teach you our Canadian customs, culture and how to live in our cold climate!
Once you are in Canada, Diamond staff will offer you ongoing support and encouragement. You will also be invited to our parties and will be given the opportunity to become a part of the NANNY ANGEL NETWORK; a great opportunity for you to meet other Diamond nannies and Diamond staff, and to give a little something back to our community as a volunteer.
Every year, we place hundreds of caregivers from abroad with our Canadian families, and our numbers are growing each year.
